But not Zidane
Bayern: One-year solution and Klopp from 2025?
And the merry game of "Bayern coach-options-guessing" continues. Now that Zinedine Zidane is apparently not an option either - as we reported - the Germans are even bringing Jürgen Klopp back into the game. From 2025.
In fact, it seems anything but realistic that the still-Liverpool coach will turn away from his announcement of at least a one-year sabbatical in the short term and take over at Bayern immediately. This means that Klopp would not be an option at Säbener Straße until the summer of 2025 at the earliest. However, this has recently become a little more realistic in that the position of German national team coach - which he probably perceived as interesting - has been off the table since Julian Nagelsmann's contract was extended.
Nobody wants it?
The constellation that could make Klopp a reality in Munich: Bayern now look for a one-year solution, a placeholder for Klopp so to speak, and then the former Dortmund mastermind gets going at Säbener Straße. A lot of subjunctive, it's true. On the other hand, the German record champions are obviously having a hard time finding a head coach. Nagelsmann, Rangnick, Zidane(Eberl "blabbed", read all about it here), De Zerbi, Matthäus - nobody really seems to want one.
Hoeneß thinks it's a "shame"
Even Uli Hoeneß thinks it's a "shame" that Julian Nagelsmann decided against Bayern and for the DFB. However, his decision should also be respected, he explained to Bayerischer Rundfunk on Saturday. So who will be the new strong man on the Munich outline from the fall? "That's not my job. You'll have to ask Max Eberl and Christoph Freund."
