FAC coach Mörec is jubilant
“An extremely important victory” on the anniversary
FAC warmed up for next Saturday's second division derby at home against Vienna. The away duel at Schwarz Weiß Bregenz resulted in a 2:0 victory. This also pleased "jubilarian" Mitja Mörec. It was his 100th game on the Floridsdorf bench.
After three games with just one point, FAC were able to celebrate again and are fourth in the 2nd division after the 2-0 win in Bregenz (coach returnee Regi Van Acker was already on the bench supporting the home team). "First half was outstanding with the ball. The second was completely different, we were outstanding against the ball," praised coach Mitja Mörec, who picked up all three points in his 100th appearance on the FAC touchline. "It was an extremely important win, the players really deserved it."
And that before the home derby next Saturday against Vienna, who beat Lafnitz, coached by former FAC coach Robert Weinstabl, 2-0 at the Hohe Warte. For coach Mehmet Sütcü, the 4-4-2 with a diamond gave them their second home win in a row and a jump to sixth place for the time being. "I'm a fan of the 4-4-2, it gives you quicker access and I've done well with it for the last year and a half with the amateurs!"
