The 49-year-old is visibly marked as he sits before the judge. According to the prosecution, he apparently preferred to let fists speak instead of words. When it came to relationship issues, he did not hold back with harsh arguments. For several months, the man allegedly threatened, beat and even strangled his partner. "Yes, I did that. Do you want to hear examples?" he confessed.
You grabbed the victim by the throat with one hand and squeezed. How is that not choking?

Increased potential for conflict
With more closeness - he lost his job and moved in with the woman of his heart - the arguments in the relationship also increased significantly. Apparently too much for the defendant. During one argument, he pushed his girlfriend to the ground so hard that she "hit her head on the pavement", as Mr. Rat recorded. Another time, the defendant grabbed the woman by the neck. So that she would listen to him. "She always ran away during the argument," the man describes.
The trial was adjourned
Now he was on trial in St. Pölten for continued violence and coercion. And pleaded guilty to the offences. The trial was adjourned until mid-May as the victim fell ill at short notice.
