30 years of experience
Huber new Red Cross commander for Pinzgau
Thomas Huber, most recently deputy district rescue commander in Pinzgau, took over from long-serving Pinzgau Red Cross boss Anton Voithofer at the beginning of April.
Thomas Huber has been the new District Rescue Commander for Pinzgau since April 5. Huber can look back on over 30 years of experience in the Red Cross. "Above all, I want to strengthen volunteering and make it more visible again. Many people don't know that night shifts and weekends are largely carried out by volunteers," says Huber.
In addition to his work as a paramedic and driver in the rescue service, Huber has already been involved in training. He worked for many years as a first aid instructor and as a departmental trainer at the Pinzgau district office. Most recently, he was deputy to the previous district rescue commander Anton Voithofer and was therefore able to prepare himself excellently for his new role.
Management consultant for energy, environment and sustainability
Huber is a trained electrician and completed a Master's degree in Real Estate and Facility Management, specializing primarily in energy management. After several years at a major car manufacturer, he finally set up his own business as a management consultant for energy, the environment and sustainability. He advises companies on how they can make the transition to green energy.
Born in Piesendorf, the 46-year-old has already completed his community service with the Red Cross. Huber is the perfect example of a volunteer, for whom he has a special appreciation.
