Who will take over as coach at the Allianz Arena? In the search for a successor to Thomas Tuchel, FC Bayern is said to have contacted Zinedine Zidane a few days ago. 

According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca", the star coach is high on Munich's wish list. Now that Julian Nagelsmann will remain national coach at least until the end of the European Championships, Xabi Alonso is happy in Leverkusen and Brighton's Roberto De Zerbi has already turned down the job, the German record champions are running out of candidates, so "Zizou" is now supposed to do it.

According to the report, the Bundesliga club asked a few days ago whether the former Real Madrid coach could imagine taking a seat on Bayern's coaching bench. However, it is not clear from the article how the 51-year-old responded.

Hot for the national team
Since leaving the Whites in 2021, Zidane has been looking for a job and is said to be particularly keen on the position of head coach of the French national team. However, Didier Deschamps is still coaching Kylian Mbappe and co. Until the 55-year-old has to pack his bags, Zidane will probably have to look for an alternative job - there would certainly be a vacancy in Munich ...
