Schwaz loses to Fivers – Hard remains in 1st place

Schwaz has lost first place in the Handball Liga Austria after the basic round. The Tyroleans, who were top of the table before the weekend, lost a clear 31:39 (13:20) at sixth-placed Fivers Margareten on Saturday at the end of the final round.
As a result, Hard remained in first place after its 31:31 win on Friday at third-placed BT Füchse thanks to its better result in the direct duels with Schwaz, who have the same number of points.
The pairings for the quarter-finals will be determined by means of a "pick" at the start of next week. Hard has first pick from the teams in fifth to eighth place. The first play-off round will be played in "best of three" mode from April 26.
