Hundreds of firefighters searched for four-year-old

The members of the Lohnsburg (Innviertel) fire department were cleaning the fields when they were alerted to a missing person search. The tension was high because a four-year-old girl from the village had disappeared.

"Many of us are fathers ourselves, so it's a close call," says Christian Spindler, commander of the Lohnsburg fire department. Six fire departments, police, rescue services and drone groups rushed to the village of 2,000 inhabitants to search for the missing four-year-old.

Happy ending
After half an hour, the relieving news: firefighters found the toddler safe and sound and were able to hand her over to her relieved parents.
