Motorcyclist (32) crashed into traffic sign

A 32-year-old man was seriously injured in a serious traffic accident in Mariazell on Friday. He crashed his motorcycle into a traffic sign. 

It is still not known why the accident occurred. One thing is certain: at 3.30 p.m., a 32-year-old motorcyclist from the district of Gänserndorf crashed in a bend on the B 24. He suffered serious injuries to his thigh and arm as a result of the impact with a traffic sign, according to the Red Cross.

The accident victim was lucky: a qualified nurse was among the first aiders.

Helicopter operation
Emergency doctors treated the young man. He was flown to Amstetten Regional Hospital by the Christophorus 15 emergency helicopter.
