20-year-old internet fraudster arrested in Graz

A 20-year-old from Graz allegedly ran a website where people could order food supplements that they never received. This cost his victims several thousand euros. He has now been arrested for commercial fraud between June 2023 and February 2024.

The market for food supplements is currently booming, especially among young people. It must have been all the more tempting to be able to order these supposedly as a bargain on the website of a 20-year-old from Graz. But then came the disappointment: the products were never delivered.

Thousands of euros pocketed
The internet fraudster claimed in 40 cases that he would deliver the goods as soon as the money was credited to his account. With this approach, he is suspected of having earned several thousand euros between June 2023 and February 2024. Officers from the Graz Criminal Investigation Department arrested the 20-year-old. He confessed and will now be sent to Graz-Jakomini prison.
