Vandals blew up ticket machine in Innsbruck

A case of serious damage to property in the west of Innsbruck is keeping the police busy. Unknown perpetrators have blown up a ticket machine belonging to the Innsbruck public transport company. The damage is considerable. 

According to the police, it is no longer possible to say exactly when the crime took place. The vandals are believed to have committed the crime on Saturday afternoon or on Sunday night. The target was a ticket machine belonging to the Innsbruck public transport company (IVB) on Fürstenweg. 

The as yet unknown perpetrators are believed to have damaged the ticket machine "by setting off a pyrotechnic object", according to the police. According to investigators, the damage amounts to several thousand euros. There is no trace of the perpetrators so far. The investigation is ongoing.
