Heavily intoxicated, driving without a license

A 50-year-old woman from Villach was driving her car in the urban area of Spittal an der Drau on Tuesday evening. In the course of a driver and vehicle check, the officers discovered that the woman did not have a valid driver's license. 

A subsequent alcohol test also revealed that she was heavily intoxicated. The 50-year-old was prohibited from continuing to drive and the vehicle keys were taken away.

During the official action, she became increasingly aggressive and insulted the police officers. Despite several warnings, the woman did not calm down and was provisionally arrested.

She will be reported to the Spittal an der Drau district authority.
