We put the “crown” on the event calendar

From Aufsteirern to Airpower, from Anradeln to Klanglicht - here is an overview of the Styrian event highlights with the "crown" in 2024.

Festival highlights: At the Aufsteirern festival on 14 and 15 September, Graz city center will once again be transformed into a huge village square. Last year, 175,000 people celebrated.

 The choir festival Voices of Spirit celebrates its 10th anniversary from 8 to 12 May. At the opening alone, 1000 singers immerse the city center of Graz in a cloud of sound.

For all classical music fans, the magnificent Arsonore music festival under the direction of Markus Schirmer with national and international artists at Graz's Eggenberg Palace from 4 to 8 September is a must-attend event.

 Another guaranteed highlight is the Dixie & Swing Festival in Weiz from 9 to 18 August with an incredibly varied program.

The Klanglicht art festival in Graz from 24 to 26 October will once again immerse visitors in a world of art, music, color and light.

The laid-back RollinDudes Festival will take place for the tenth time on July 12 and 13. A new home has been found in the Grottenhof visitor center in Leibnitz.

Concert highlights: From the pop stars of Wanda ("Columbo", "Bussi Baby") on July 19 at the Graz Trade Fair to the Südsteirerfest at the Grottenhof Visitor Center on June 29 (with the Südsteirern, the Edlseern, Folkshilfe and the Lausern), the line-up goes on.

Cycling focus: The "Krone" also has a sportingfocus throughout the year. For example, at the big Anradeln in the Bad Radkersburg area, where the season opens from April 12 to 14.

 We also present the 32nd Tour de Mur - in three stages it goes from Lungau along the Mur Cycle Path 333 kilometers to Bad Radkersburg. We will also be in Graz on World Bicycle Day on June 3.

Ring spectacle: The motorsport world looks to the Red Bull Ring from June 28 to 30, when the Formula 1 stars once again put on a top-class show.

 From 16 to 18 August, the fastest bikers in the world will be back in Spielberg for the Moto GP.

 And the DTM  races (September 27 to 29) will be a motorsport festival for the whole family.

Must-see dates: Europe's biggest air show, Airpower, will attract tens of thousands of visitors to the Hinterstoisser air base in Zeltweg on September 6 and 7.

The toughest sightseeing tour in the world takes place on June 8 with the Grazathlon in the provincial capital.

Water sports at their best and great hands-on activities are on offer at the Riverdays from June 21 to 30 on the Mur River in Graz.

The Krone Erzberg Adventure Days on July 13/14 and 20 will be a great running spectacle - with the steepest sprint in the world, the dirt runs and the Erzberg Run.

From November 15, Lumagica is the order of the day. The light park at the Murhof in Frohnleiten will once again delight visitors young and old with its hundreds of objects and installations.

The famous Circus Roncalli makes a guest appearance in Graz (Messe) from November 15 to December 8. A spectacle full of magic, acrobatics and clowning awaits.

And at the end of the year, the Charity Legends Tournament (December 27) and the big New Year's Eve spectacle (December 31) take place in Graz.
