Sigh of relief at Bayern
Manuel Neuer fit for CL clash against Arsenal
Manuel Neuer is back in time for the Champions League quarter-final clash against Arsenal. According to the German newspaper "Bild", the Bayern keeper was able to take part in team training on Monday.
Neuer suffered a torn muscle fiber in his left adductor three weeks ago and was absent from Munich's two defeats against Dortmund and Heidenheim. According to the report, the 38-year-old will be allowed to start, having recently been replaced by Sven Ulreich.
Aleksandar Pavlovic was also able to train with the team again after suffering from tonsillitis, although it remains to be seen whether he will play against the Gunners. The recently injured Noussair Mazraoui, Kingsley Coman and Leroy Sané are also expected to board the plane to London.
After the early exit in the cup and the probably unassailable gap to Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, FC Bayern has only one chance left to avoid a title-less year with the Champions League. The game against Arsenal is on Tuesday at 9pm.
