After Nicole Good's dramatic-looking crash at the Swiss Ski Championships, there is now an initial diagnosis - and it has brought relief! The 26-year-old, who crashed after around 17 seconds of skiing in the Super-G in Davos, is likely to have suffered "a concussion as well as fractures and abrasions in the facial area" ...

In view of the livestream images, a diagnosis worse than that reported by Blick was to be feared, as Good, who had only recently won the slalom championship title, had apparently hit her head hard on the piste in a right-hand bend during her fall and may have lost consciousness.

Left motionless
In any case, after the impact, the Swiss skier slid without any body tension towards the track boundary, where she lay motionless.

At least first aiders were quickly on hand to turn Good into a stable side length and treat her. After 20 minutes, during which the victim is said to have regained consciousness at least briefly, she was taken by rescue helicopter to hospital in Chur.

Austrian Kappaurer in the lead
The race, in which the Austrian Elisabeth Kappaurer was leading as a guest starter at the time of Good's crash, was initially stopped and then abandoned. This was also due to the fact that the temperatures had risen significantly in the meantime and the slope had suffered as a result. The men's super-G, which should have taken place after the women's competition, was not even started.
