"Snobbed me off"
Schöneberger takes a swipe at Rainhard Fendrich
Barbara Schöneberger does not have fond memories of her former childhood idol Rainhard Fendrich. He "snobbed her off", she has now revealed.
In her podcast "Mit den Waffeln einer Frau", the German presenter confessed that she was once a big fan of the Austrian singer. He was her "childhood idol" - at least until the one time she met him in person.
"He got me so snobby"
Because he wasn't the star she had dreamed of. "I always listened to Austro-pop and I know every song by him. I'm such a fan of his. Then I met him once and he got me so hooked," she explained.
At the time, she thought, "I could be his type, not that I would have imagined a life with him, but I thought he would be happy if I told him that I thought he was really great - but he didn't!" Schöneberger said.
In the podcast, Schöneberger chatted with former "Tagesschau" presenter Judith Rakers, with whom Frendrich also left a lasting memory.
The former "Herzblatt" presenter, who created the Austrian cult anthem "I am from Austria", caused irritation for the news presenter during an interview. When preparing for the interview, they had also talked about his experiences with drugs, she said.
When the singer sat in front of her, he suddenly refused to talk about it. "Not on television." But it was just a joke by the star. So not so bad ...
