A 28-year-old car driver from Croatia was caught by the police in Graz on Wednesday evening with a forged driver's license. The man also refused to take a breathalyzer test and his license plates were confiscated.

Police officers from Traffic Inspectorate 2 carried out vehicle driver checks on Wednesday evening. They stopped the 28-year-old man at around 5.30 pm. When checking his Croatian driver's license, the officers discovered that it was forged. According to the Croatian, he had bought the forged document for 1000 euros. This was because he had to surrender his real Croatian driver's license in his home country.

Alcohol test positive, alcohol test refused

A preliminary alcohol test revealed that the man was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol. When the police officers then asked the man to take an alcohol test on a calibrated breathalyzer, he refused to take the breath test. During the inspection of his vehicle, the police officers also discovered several technical defects. Both license plates were removed. The Croatian will be charged.
