Trial in Salzburg
Seven years in prison for addicted cocaine dealer
The public prosecutor spoke of seven kilograms of narcotics, but the defendant only spoke of two and a half. In the end, he received a significant prison sentence.
He should have known better, if only because of his seven previous convictions: On Wednesday, a local man (46) and his alleged accomplice (47) had to answer for trafficking seven kilograms of cocaine at Salzburg Provincial Court. According to the indictment, he allegedly resold the narcotic drug between 2020 and 2023. She is said to have supported him.
Suspended sentence for accomplice
In front of the judge, the criminal spoke about his addiction and personal problems and partially admitted the allegations. With one big but: it was a maximum of two and a half kilograms. And he had only been dealing between 2021 and 2023. The Austrian was ultimately sentenced on the basis of this quantity: to seven years' unconditional imprisonment, not legally binding. The previously blameless co-defendant was given a second chance in the form of a seven-month suspended sentence.
