Avdijaj scandal! Obscene gesture from Hartberg kicker

Hartberg attacking player Donis Avdijaj caused a stir during the 3-0 defeat against Rapid with an obscene gesture towards Rapid supporters. The 27-year-old was sent off with a yellow-red card in the closing stages.

It was a day to forget for Avdijaj. Having previously seen Hartberg returnee Marco Grüll score three goals for Rapid, the 27-year-old was also shown a yellow card in the 88th minute.

The attacking player was not at all happy about the decision and engaged in heated debates with the officials and some Rapid players on the pitch. In the end, he walked off in the direction of the dressing room with a clearly upset look on his face.

Penalty imminent
He was accompanied by chants from the Rapid fans who had traveled with him. Avdijaj finally reacted thin-skinned to the malicious "Auf Wiedersehen". He turned towards the fans, provocatively grabbed his crotch and shouted some strong words at the Rapid fans.

An inglorious end to a poor afternoon for the attacking player. The obscene gesture could also have repercussions for the 27-year-old. It is quite possible that he will receive an additional penalty and miss the Styrians for longer.
