“Heavily intoxicated”: Car crashes into a slope
A local driver (22) and his passenger (23) had a stroke of luck on Saturday morning in Kufstein, Tyrol. Due to overconfidence, the 22-year-old lost control and left the road. The car ended up on a slope. However, the men were only slightly injured.
The accident happened shortly before 7 am. The 22-year-old was driving his car on the L37 coming from Thiersee in the direction of Kufstein. A 23-year-old German was on board as a passenger. "According to his own statements, the driver lost control of the vehicle due to overconfidence," said the police. As a result, he left the road on a left-hand bend.
The driver was able to free himself.

The vehicle became wedged between the trees on a slope. The driver was able to free himself. Meanwhile, the 23-year-old had to be freed and rescued by the Kufstein volunteer fire department. Both men were only slightly injured. They were taken to Kufstein Hospital. A breathalyzer test on the driver was positive and showed that he was heavily intoxicated.
