Disregarding rest periods and speeding on the highway
Two truck drivers in Tyrol ignored not only the speed limit but also the rest periods on Saturday night. Bad luck for both of them: They were stopped by the police in Telfs (Innsbruck-Land district). They will be charged.
The truck drivers were caught by the police at around midnight. They were stopped by officers from the Imst freeway police on the Inntal freeway A12 at the Telfs-Süd parking lot in the eastbound direction for speeding. Both "trucks" were then checked more closely.
Several violations detected
"An evaluation of the recording equipment revealed several violations of the EC Regulation and of the driving and rest periods," said the investigators. The false driver cards were seized and the two Greeks, aged 46 and 48, had to pay a fine. They will also be reported to the police.
