German woman (36) hit by a stone while hiking

A German woman (36) had bad luck during a hike near the Tyrolean Achensee on Friday! A stone came loose and hit the woman on the head. The rescue helicopter had to be called out.

The accident happened at around 1.15 pm. The 36-year-old was on a hike at the Feilkopf in Pertisau. Suddenly, she was "hit by a fist-sized stone that had come loose above the hiking trail", according to the police.

The rescue helicopter flew the woman to Innsbruck Hospital.
