Car overturned on a bend: Styrian woman (77) injured

An unusual traffic accident occurred on Friday in eastern Styria: on a slight left-hand bend, a 77-year-old woman lost control of her car, it overturned and came to rest on the passenger side. How this happened remains a mystery. The woman claims not to remember anything. 

Early on Friday afternoon, a 77-year-old female driver from the district of Weiz was driving on the L 361 from Lingstätten in the direction of Puch bei Weiz. According to the police, she then lost control of her vehicle in the Klettendorf-Ost district, it overturned and came to rest on the passenger side.

A local resident informed the emergency services and the woman was taken to Weiz Regional Hospital with minor injuries. A breathalyzer test was negative. 

The circumstances remain a mystery: the woman was probably not driving particularly fast, nor was another road user involved. There are no witnesses. "The woman claims to have no memory, she doesn't know how it happened at all," according to the police.
