Serious recreational accident on Thursday in St. Leonhard in the Tyrolean Pitztal! A German winter sports enthusiast (24) hit a lump of ice and fell. The 24-year-old was seriously injured.
The accident happened at around 12.15 pm. The 24-year-old was skiing in the open ski area and wanted to enter the blue slope 1b. "He hit a lump of ice and fell," according to the police. The winter sports enthusiast remained lying down with serious injuries.
The piste rescue team provided first aid. The emergency helicopter then took the casualty to Zams hospital.
