On matchday 27 in the German Bundesliga, FC Augsburg and 1. FC Köln had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The draw did not really help either team. Cologne remain in acute relegation trouble and Augsburg missed out on catching up with Frankfurt in sixth place. 

FC Köln earned a point in the relegation battle in the German Bundesliga with the two Austrian internationals Florian Kainz and Dejan Ljubicic. On Easter Sunday, Cologne drew 1:1 (1:1) at FC Augsburg, who had previously won four games in a row. Ljubicic played in Augsburg, Kainz was substituted in the 66th minute. After the 27th round, the "Effzeh" are still one point behind Mainz 05 in the relegation places in 17th place.

Arne Maier had put the hosts ahead in front of 30,660 spectators in the 18th minute, Davie Selke (33) equalized before the break after a counter attack. It was the seventh league game in a row without a win for Timo Schultz's Cologne side.
