In danger of relegation

After two defeats to start the spring, the team from Pongau are in relegation danger. They should score against Schwaz to give themselves some breathing space. Goalkeeper Dominik Waltl speaks plainly.

St. Johann's start to the spring in the Westliga was anything but good. An unfortunate 0:1 in Pinzgau and a 2:4 at home against Silz/Mötz ensure that the Pongau team must be acutely worried about relegation. Sitting in 13th place, coach Ernst Lottermoser's team are only five points ahead of bottom-placed Wolfurt. Goalkeeper Dominik Waltl is clear about the direction: "We can get away with the draws. Now we need a three-pointer!" His team last celebrated a complete success on September 30. But the goalkeeper is also optimistic: "When the win comes - and it will come - then maybe we'll get into a run and be back on track."

FC Pinzgau also start the 19th round tonight - bottom of the table Wolfurt are the guests. "We are the favorites and we accept this role. However, we'll talk to the coaching team again about the fact that we have to be focused," says head coach Hannes Schützinger. The injury list is slowly thinning out. Anes Masic returns to training on Tuesday. "After that, one or two should be back every week," says the coach happily.
