International match in the rain
Touching gesture from England star Jude Bellingham
Jude Bellingham scored plenty of sympathy points with this action. At England's Test match against Belgium, the 20-year-old unceremoniously took off his vest in the rain in London to hand it to his run-in child.
Bellingham has been celebrated on social media for his actions, with the video showing the professional midfielder protecting the child in the wheelchair from getting wet being liked, commented on and shared thousands of times. Phil Foden had also previously taken off his jacket and left it for the child in front of him.
From a sporting point of view, the crowd at Wembley Stadium were treated to a highly exciting match. After the Belgians had taken an early lead through Youri Tielemans (11), Ivan Toney (17) equalized a few minutes later with a penalty. Even Tielemans' second goal (36') was not enough for the visitors to win, with Bellingham (90+5') scoring in the final minute of stoppage time to make it 2-2.
