Crime scene night train: three Poles arrested

Three Polish nationals are alleged to have committed thefts on night trains between Salzburg and Innsbruck between June and November 2023. The men were tracked down and arrested. The damage is said to amount to more than 8,000 euros.

After intensive investigations, the police have linked three Polish nationals aged between 40 and 67 to several train thefts. The men are accused of committing several thefts on night trains between Innsbruck and Salzburg between June 2023 and November 2023. They stole cash from sleeping rail passengers.

In total, the thefts caused demonstrable damage of more than 8,000 euros within five months. The suspects were investigated and arrested in Salzburg. By order of the public prosecutor's office, they were taken to Salzburg prison.
