Argument escalated: Styrian (29) in mortal danger

A serious argument broke out in front of a bar in St. Georgen am Kreischberg on Saturday evening. It culminated in a security employee (25) pushing a 29-year-old down a flight of stairs. The man from Murau was seriously injured and his condition is life-threatening. 

An argument outside a pub in St. Georgen am Kreischberg (Murau district) came to a tragic end. According to the police, a 29-year-old man from the district of Murau got into an argument with a security employee (25). The reason was probably that the 29-year-old wanted to enter the bar with a lit cigarette. 

Left unconscious after a fall
The initial discussion soon turned into a scuffle, during which the security guard pushed the 29-year-old away from him. The man fell down a staircase onto the parking lot below and remained unconscious. 

Witnesses immediately administered first aid and alerted the emergency services. An emergency medical team continued to treat the seriously injured man and took him to Klagenfurt Regional Hospital. According to the doctors treating him, the 29-year-old's injuries are life-threatening. 

The public prosecutor's office in Leoben has opened an investigation.
