Laporta convinced: Mbappé is destroying the climate at Real
Kylian Mbappé will apparently leave Paris Saint-Germain in the summer and join Real Madrid. Barcelona president Joan Laporta took this as an opportunity to taunt his arch-rivals. The 61-year-old is convinced that Mbappé will destroy the "royal" club's dressing room climate.
According to the Catalan club boss, Real will have to contend with personnel problems as soon as the Frenchman moves to the Spanish capital. With Vinicius Júnior and Rodrygo, the Madrilenians already have two star strikers in their ranks, so as soon as Mbappé arrives, one of the two Brazilians will have to make way. "They can't all play in the same position," said Laporta.
Bad mood in the squad
In addition, Mbappé's salary will create a tense atmosphere within the squad, the Catalan-born player suspects. "If we're talking about the figures that will be there, it's sure to break up the dressing room."
According to reports, Mbappé is set to earn €20 million net next season, which would see him replace David Alaba as the top earner. The ÖFB international's salary is €22.56 million (albeit gross), followed by Jude Bellingham (€20.04 million).
