Transfer in the summer
Sturm builds ahead: Next Dane on his way to Graz
With Danish legionnaires (Höjlund in the past, currently Böving, Biereth), SK Sturm has been doing very well recently. The Black & Whites are also staying the course, announcing the signing of Tochi Chukwuani. The midfielder is a current Denmark U21 team player (eight appearances) and will join Sturm from Lyngby BK in the summer.
Chukwuani was trained by Nordsjaelland, moved to Lyngby in 2022 and played 21 games in the Danish Superliga this season, scoring three goals and providing two assists. The 20-year-old has already made a total of 81 appearances in Danish professional soccer. In Graz, the right-footer has signed a long-term contract until 2028.
"Tochi Chukwuani is a player we've had our eye on for some time. He is a dynamic and physically strong player who also has qualities on the ball. He can be used anywhere in midfield and has already proven himself internationally with eight appearances for the Danish U21 national team. The situation has now arisen perfectly to get a player with enormous potential like Tochi on excellent terms - we are pleased that we have already been able to finalize this transfer for the summer and are proud that Tochi has chosen Sturm," says sporting director Andi Schicker.
Tochi Chukwuani says: "In the recent past, several young Danes have been able to attract attention at SK Sturm, so I'm sure I'm in good hands here."
