Austria Salzburg lacked the right attitude in their defeat against Silz/Mötz. Coach Schaider also called for running without the ball and more intensity. Captain Mathias Theiner saw several factors that went against the Violets.

Austria are still top of the table in the Westliga. However, the opening defeat against Silz/Mötz was a surprise for many. In order not to fall over again in the first home game against Schwaz on Saturday, it will be necessary to come to terms with the situation. "I believe that we all - including the players - have to be self-critical," said coach Christian Schaider.

The 47-year-old criticized his team's attitude in particular: "We need to invest more as a team. We haven't forgotten how to play soccer, but we also need movement without the ball." Captain Mathias Theiner did not know exactly what had caused the failure: "There were several factors that didn't play into our hands." Austria have a lot to discuss in the coming week of training. Otherwise, promotion could still fail due to sporting issues.
