FC Schalke 04 are still in acute danger of relegation in the 2nd German soccer league. 

The team from Gelsenkirchen lost 2:5 at Hertha BSC on Sunday and, in 16th place in the table, are still only two points away from the relegation zone. By contrast, things went better again for Hamburger SV. The Hamburgers defeated Wehen Wiesbaden 3:0 to move back past Fortuna Düsseldorf into third place. Karlsruhe dispatched Magdeburg 7:0.

Former Austria striker Haris Tabakovic scored twice for the Berliners in the first quarter of an hour in front of almost 70,000 spectators at the Olympiastadion, while Schalke's top scorer Simon Terodde equalized twice. Marten Winkler scored three and four for Hertha, also with a brace, and Florian Niederlechner made it 5-2.
