Officers injured and fled from police car

On Tuesday morning, a 27-year-old Tunisian citizen living in the district of Leoben resisted arrest. Two police officers were injured.

At around 8 a.m., police officers from the Leoben Aliens and Border Police arrested the 27-year-old Tunisian by order of the Federal Office for Immigration and Asylum. The man resisted the official action, injuring two police officers in the process. Due to his aggressive behavior, the police put handcuffs and ankle cuffs on the 27-year-old. This did not prevent him from smashing the side window of the police vehicle with his head while being transported to the police station. The Tunisian jumped out of the vehicle and started to flee. However, he was immediately brought under control again.

At the police station, the 27-year-old still did not calm down and destroyed the equipment in the detention room. He was transferred to the police detention center in Graz for further detention.

The man will be charged with numerous offenses.
