33-year-old run over by a car on the main road

On Tuesday night, a 32-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car on the Ennstal road in Styria. He had to be taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Walk on the left - see danger, as the saying goes. Unfortunately, this rule could not help a 33-year-old German man. He was hit by a car on the main road in the district of Liezen on Tuesday night.

Pedestrian overlooked
He was walking on the Ennstal road (B320) from Schladming towards Haus im Ennstal at around half past two in the morning when the car sped towards him. The 32-year-old local driver overlooked the pedestrian and was unable to react quickly enough.

Hospitalized with serious injuries
At the petrol station, the car collided with the pedestrian and threw him to the ground. The German required emergency treatment and had to be taken to the Deaconess Hospital in Schladming with serious injuries.

He was transferred to Salzburg University Hospital later that night. The 32-year-old driver was uninjured. He was not under the influence of alcohol.
