Manchester City appear to be seriously interested in signing Joshua Kimmich. The midfielder still has a contract with Bayern until 2025, but is no longer uncontroversial at the record champions. However, the cards will be reshuffled following Tuchel's departure. 

Pep Guardiola knows Kimmich very well from his time in Munich. The Spaniard is considered a great supporter of the 29-year-old. Now there is to be a reunion on the island. According to reports in the British media, City are working on an offer for the German.

"I still have over a year left on my contract. Nobody has spoken to me yet. Let's see what happens. The most important thing for me is that I perform well, I can't influence the rest," the international recently said regarding his future. 

Talks in Munich
Kimmich is set to operate as a double-six duo with Rodri in Manchester. The 29-year-old was once regarded as the captain of the future in Munich, but is no longer uncontroversial. The relationship with coach Thomas Tuchel is strained. However, after he leaves the club in the summer, the cards will be reshuffled.

Bayern's sporting director Christoph Freund recently announced that the club would like to discuss Kimmich's future with him in April or May. The question is whether his contract, which expires in 2025, will be extended or whether Kimmich will be sold in the summer.
