"This is cruel"
Meghan experienced a lot of hate during pregnancy
Duchess Meghan (42) has spoken about her bad experiences with social media. She is currently staying away from it. Most of the bullying and abuse she experienced on social media and online happened during her pregnancies with Archie and Lilibet.
It's something to think about, Meghan said at the South by Southwest event in Texas (see video above). She raised the question of why people do this, why they are so hateful: "It's cruel."
"Humanity is being lost"
Meghan criticized that humanity had been lost in the digital space and in certain areas of the media. "And that has to change." She understands that a lot of money is being made there.
"But even if it brings in dollars, it doesn't make sense." Meghan also said how disturbing she found it as a supporter of women that women showered other women with hate online.
The former "Suits" actress is married to Prince Harry (39), the younger son of British King Charles III. The couple broke away from their royal duties several years ago.
They now live with their children Prince Archie (4) and Princess Lilibet (2) in the US state of California.
