Boy got his leg caught between the train and the platform

On Friday afternoon, a dangerous incident occurred at Vienna's Kagraner Platz U1 station. As the subway started to move, a twelve-year-old suddenly fell and got his leg caught between the moving train and the platform.

Although, according to the police, the subway driver had taken a routine look in the rear-view mirror before setting off, the accident still occurred. It was only when the subway had already started moving that the teenager lost his balance and fell.

Twelve-year-old in hospital
His leg was briefly trapped between the platform edge and the moving train. The twelve-year-old was first treated by the Vienna Professional Rescue Service and taken to hospital. Track 2 of the Kagraner Platz subway station was closed for around an hour.
