Natalie Portman’s marriage officially over & divorced

After months of separation, Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied's divorce is now official. The Oscar-winning actress and the choreographer were married for eleven years and have two children together.

A spokesperson for the Hollywood actress confirmed to People magazine that the marriage is officially over.

The 42-year-old Portman filed for divorce last July. According to media reports, the reason for the separation was an extramarital affair by Millepied.

Vienna stop before divorce
Portman has used the time since the separation to focus on her family, friends and her work. 

The actress has been traveling in Europe in recent weeks. After the fashion shows in Paris, she jetted to Vienna, where she was in front of the camera for director Guy Ritchie's latest film, "Fountain of Youth".

Hard hit
Friends of the couple report that although Portman was hit hard by the break-up, she has come out of it stronger than before. It was not easy for Portman to come to terms with the separation, which took place in May 2023 following media reports of an extramarital affair by Millepied.

"It was really hard for her at first, but her friends rallied around her and helped her get through the worst of it," a friend of the couple told People.

Oscar for joint movie
The Israeli-American actress, director and film producer is one of the best-known personalities in the film business. 

She became famous for her role as Mathilda in the film Léon - The Professional (1994) and achieved worldwide fame with the "Star Wars" prequel trilogy (1999-2005). For the film Black Swan (2010), she was awarded an Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

Portman and Millepied met on the set of the film "Black Swan" in 2010.

As the film's choreographer, Millepied helped Portman learn complex ballet sequences. In a SiriusXM Townhall interview in 2018, the actress described their shared experience on the movie in sweet words.

"He taught me how to dance and it was definitely exciting and fun," she said, "It was beautiful." Now they are both dancing through life separately again.
