Federal Chancellor Karl Nehammer never wants to go back there, the Hallein NEOS met there: the pink top candidate for the mayoral election Christian Münnich recently invited people to the Hallein vinotheque Pinna Nobilis.

Last summer, several ÖVP grandees around Nehammer met in the old town pub. The Chancellor gave a speech, recommending that poor children simply eat a hamburger at McDonald's - because this is the "cheapest hot meal". A video of the piquant comment went public and the "Burgergate" scandal was complete.

The NEOS re-enacted the infamous video with the help of political returnee Sepp Schellhorn. Münnich: "We would rather talk to the citizens than about them. Politics has become alienated from the people."
