Supermodel Lena Gercke designs new Bayern kit

For the first time in FC Bayern's club history, the players will be wearing a jersey designed especially for them. The new kit was designed by supermodel Lena Gercke.

FC Bayern has already unveiled the shirt on its social media channels and it will be available in the club's stores from March 8, International Women's Day.

As the club explains on its website, the players were involved in the creation of the kit, which is intended to symbolize the self-determination of women's soccer.

Anticipation among the players
"I'm super proud and grateful to be part of this long overdue milestone," designer Gercke is quoted as saying. The jersey is kept simple in terms of color, with salmon-colored stripes adorning the black fabric. "We are delighted to be playing in a jersey designed especially for us for the first time in FC Bayern's history. This shows the growing importance of women's soccer. It would be great to see as many of our fans as possible wearing this jersey in the stadium soon," says midfielder Lina Dallmann, who is already looking forward to her first match in the new kit.
