Intoxicated with narcotics
No driver’s license: driver gave details of brother
A Kosovan driver (36) was driving conspicuously slowly on the Tauernautobahn (A10) on Sunday. When the police stopped him, he initially pretended to be his brother.
The 36-year-old did not have a driver's license. But he was unable to fool the officers with the false data. After a drug saliva test, it was clear that the man had consumed narcotics before driving.
It was not the only intoxicated driver that the police pulled out of traffic this weekend: a Styrian driver (35) caught the attention of officers on the A1 with a conspicuous driving style. The drug test was positive and he had to hand in his license on the spot. In Neumarkt, a Croatian driver (47) was on the road with a blood alcohol level of 1.7 per mille. His driver's license was also confiscated.
Drunk driver crashed into a tree
And on Lamprechtshausener Straße, a driver (35) from Flachgau left the road and crashed his car into a tree. He had a blood alcohol level of 1.5. The ambulance took the injured 35-year-old to hospital.
