Royal! That's how it could be next year in Klagenfurt. Because FUTSAL Klagenfurt is going for the championship title in the 1st ÖFB Futsal League. And that entitles them to take part in the preliminary round of the Champions League. Four clubs from different countries in Europe take part in this competition, which is hosted by the club with the lowest coefficient. "So far, that has always been the Austrian clubs. The preliminary round would then probably be played in Viktring. The Champions League anthem will also be played there," says Futsal Klagenfurt coach Marko Petricevic.

But first they would have to reach the final of the 1st ÖFB Futsal League. After their 4:1 away win at defending champions Diamant Linz in the first game of the best-of-three series, they could do just that at home on Sunday (17). "We're in a good mood and want to secure a place in the final on Sunday," said Petricevic.

In addition to his work at FUTSAL Klagenfurt, Marko Petricevic is also co-coach of Austria Klagenfurt's U16 academy team and sporting director at Moosburg (1st class C). "This is only possible because my wife supports me in everything. And because I can always rely on my great futsal team with Haris Malkoc, Josip Bosnjak and Mario Tomic."
