Five injured
18-year-old plunged 100 meters down a slope in her car
Major incident in Gratwein-Straßengel north of Graz: An 18-year-old female driver left the road in her car on Saturday night and plunged around 100 meters down a slope. The driver and four passengers sustained minor injuries.
The 18-year-old was driving a car on a local road coming from Pleschkogel in the direction of Rein at around 2 am. In the Kehr district, she probably overlooked a right-hand bend due to poor visibility and left the road. The vehicle plunged around 100 meters down a slope. The driver and her four passengers aged 17 and 18 - all from the Graz-Umgebung district - were able to free themselves from the vehicle and climb up the embankment.
They were taken to hospital by the ambulance service with minor injuries. The car was recovered by the Gratwein and Eisbach-Rein fire departments.
