Measles sufferer from Upper Austria in Lutzmannsburg thermal spa
After Geinberg, the next measles warning from a thermal spa! According to the province of Burgenland, an infected person from Upper Austria was at the Lutzmannsburg thermal spa on February 19. All bathers who were also there and have not been fully vaccinated against measles should monitor their state of health.
It was only on February 13 that there was a measles alert at the Geinberg thermal spa in the Innviertel region - now there is a warning from the province of Burgenland. A person from Upper Austria, who has since been confirmed to have measles, had been at the leisure facility on February 19.
The Office of the Upper Austrian Provincial Government announced the confirmed case of measles on Friday. The person concerned had the first symptoms of a flu-like infection in Lutzmannsburg. In the case of measles, the time between infection and the onset of the first symptoms is eight to a maximum of 21 days.

For this reason, everyone who stayed at the Lutzmannsburg thermal spa or the associated hotel on February 19 and has not been fully vaccinated against the disease is called upon to monitor their state of health and to stay at home and contact their family doctor by telephone if symptoms occur that could indicate a measles infection.
The measles vaccination is strongly recommended for self-protection and for the protection of others, according to the press release from the Burgenland Provincial Media Service.
