Sport shooter Steiner misses out on Olympic ticket

The Olympic ticket is still out of the question. Salzburg's sport shooter Sylvia Steiner finished eighth at the European Championships and cannot yet secure her ticket. But there are still some chances.

Sylvia Steiner did not make the hoped-for Olympic qualification at the European Championships for air rifle and air pistol in Györ. The 41-year-old from Salzburg finished eighth in the air pistol on Thursday, after finishing the basic round in best place.

Gold and silver went to juniors Anna Dulce from Moldova and Simal Yilmaz from Turkey. However, Steiner still has several chances to qualify for this summer's Olympics in Paris.
