“Sopranos” star Drea de Matteo naked on OnlyFans
Drea de Matteo became a star with the series "The Sopranos". Recently, however, the former Emmy winner has been earning her living with nude photos on the erotic platform OnlyFans. Before that, she was practically broke, the 52-year-old confessed.
Drea de Matteo told the Daily Mail that the decision to go naked on OnlyFans was the result of a financial emergency.
"OnlyFans has saved me"
"OnlyFans has 100 percent saved my life. I can't believe I'm saying this, but it really saved us," said the 52-year-old, who claims to be debt-free thanks to the erotic images she now publishes.
Before her OnlyFans career, she only had ten dollars left in the bank, Hollywood jobs had dried up - not least because she didn't want to be vaccinated against coronavirus - and her house was about to be foreclosed on.
Broke and desperate
"They forced me into foreclosure and my house was flooded, so I tried to sell the house quickly." She wanted to try to get her home to the man or woman before the bank could take it away from her, de Matteo explained.
She also had to cope with setbacks in her family - such as the death of her mother. "I no longer knew which way was up and which way was down," sighed the actress, thinking about the difficult time.
So she uploaded several pictures to OnlyFans and in just "five minutes" she had raised enough money to pay the real estate company that wanted to sell her house.
Received many "hate messages"
She had received many "hate messages" in response to her nude pictures, de Matteo continued. "People have gone completely crazy." But: "Anyone who wants to judge me and take me down should do so. I just hope you're never in the position I was in, because I had two young children to look after."
Drea de Matteo has two children with country singer Shooter Jennings, to whom she was engaged from 2009 to 2012. She is now married to Robby Staebler.
The "Sopranos" actress is in good company on OnlyFans, as stars such as Denise Richards, her daughter Sami Sheen, Cardi B and Bella Thorne can also be found on the erotic platform.
