The “Krone” invites you to the Phantom of the Opera

It's the comeback of the year: 36 years after the German-language premiere on December 20, 1988 at the Theater an der Wien, "The Phantom of the Opera" is now returning to Austria. See the cult musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber a week before the premiere. We are giving away 30x2 tickets for the exclusive "Krone" preview on March 8 at the Raimundtheater.

From March 15, Vereinigte Bühnen Wien will be presenting Cameron Mackintosh's production, which has never been shown in German-speaking countries before, at the Raimund Theater. The brand new production has been described by international critics as "bigger and better than ever before" - peppered with breathtaking special effects, including the legendary chandelier, which crashes spectacularly onto the stage and drove artistic director Peter Weck to despair at the time due to ongoing technical difficulties.

In the leading role, the Swede Anton Zetterholm, who thrilled audiences in Vienna as Crown Prince Rudolf in the musical "Elisabeth", descends into the catacombs. At his side as Christine is the 23-year-old Dutch actress Lisanne Clémence Veeneman. Born in Amsterdam, she last appeared in the Dutch production of "Les Miserables" and is looking forward to her new role.
