Head-on crash on a wet road: woman injured

A serious accident occurred on Thursday morning in the Bregenzerwald municipality of Hittisau (Vorarlberg). Two cars crashed into each other during a turning maneuver. One woman was injured. 

At around 7.20 a.m. on Thursday morning, a 58-year-old woman was driving her car on the L 205 from Hittisau in the direction of Krumbach on a wet road. In the Hinteregg plot, she wanted to turn left to drive to a residential house. At the same time, a 29-year-old female driver from Germany was approaching from the opposite direction in her car. The two cars collided with full force. 

The older driver was injured in the crash - it is not yet known how seriously. Both cars were badly damaged in the accident. The Hittisau fire department was responsible for securing and cleaning the scene of the accident.
