Large police force searched for young gunman

An emergency call set off alarm bells in Baden on Monday afternoon: A young man wearing a military look and carrying a black weapon was walking around the Kurpark.

Following the caller's report, nine patrol cars and the rapid intervention unit were on the scene in no time at all, and a service dog and police drone were also deployed. The spa gardens were evacuated and closed off.

Search over after an hour
But even thermal imaging from the air did not lead to the boy, who was described as being around 16 years old. After an hour, the manhunt was called off, but officers continued to watch the park. The police cannot rule out a bad joke: "But we are still taking the call seriously."
