Father threatened to kill his wife and son

A family dispute escalated in Paldau (Styria) on Friday afternoon: Threatening to kill them, a father (76) attacked his own wife, his son and his son's partner. Because there were several weapons in the hunter's family home, COBRA was even called.

The father of the family got so angry during an argument that his own son had to call the police. The 76-year-old from Paldau had threatened to kill his 52-year-old son, his partner and his own wife. The three family members became so frightened that they fled the house and hid nearby.

Cobra and police helicopter deployed
As it quickly became apparent that the family were hunters who had stored weapons in the house, Cobra was alerted and a police helicopter was deployed. Together, the police were able to defuse the situation and arrest the accused father without resistance.

Weapons and ammunition seized
The 76-year-old was banned from entering and approaching the premises - and he was released. In addition, both father and son were charged with improper storage of their hunting weapons. Both were subsequently issued with a weapons ban.
